We just got in 2 of the Sony PFM-42B1 Plasma Displays at work for presentations. We want the Windows desktop to take up the entire screen and not just the center with the black bars on the side. We also do not want it to force the 16:9 ratio and cause distortion of the fonts and graphics.
I can get it to run at 800 x 480 (I think) using a generic display driver and for the most part it looks good and fills the entire screen. However, the refresh rate will not go over 60Hz with the generic driver and the fonts appear to flicker. Does anyone know how we can correct this? Or does anyone know the location of an inf file that would work with this display?
I have tried Sony's site and although they love to boast about their plasma screens, the support is almost nonexistant. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
