What country and what carrier? Hard to make a recommendation without some specifics.

Dont bother with these chinese phones, they're not made for american carriers.
2g will work, 3g will half work on wind mobile, and lte won't work.

2G GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHZ
3G WCDMA: 900/2100MHZ
4G FDD-LTE: 800/1800/2100/2600MHz

It looks like the phone should work fine on fido, and TF card is another name for SD card. You will probably find a better price if you shop around, I'm sure they don't give you any deal on it.

Aliexpress is basically eBay (way more Chinese sellers and wholesalers)

You're going to have a bad time using that phone in Canadian networks

Also, its cny, so there's zero chance of them shipping it in the next 15 days

Paper, it supports the 2 bands fido uses. Afai can see it should be fine. Other networks may very.

no it doesn't

you CANNOT compare band frequencies... must compare band numbers for LTE

(eg: "LTE 700mhz" covers band 12/13/14/17/28/29/67.... not cross-compatible)

Fido needs:
2G: 850/1900mhz
3G: 850/1900mhz
LTE: band 4/7/17

THis phone supports:
http://www.doogeemobile.com/doogee-x5-pro.html
2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G: WCDMA 900/2100MHz
4G FDD-LTE B1/3/7/8/20

(some sites list additional LTE bands for the x5 pro... think i trust the manufacture's website more?)

so basically, you'll get 2G on your phone and band 7 LTE.

no 3G. is this good? not to me. band 7 isn't Fido's main LTE band too

I just saw that fido and this phone both support 2100 and 2600 MHz lte, figured that was enough.

now you know.... for LTE, the frequencies are very fragmented... you MUST match against the actual band number

for 2G, it's simple (each frequency directly matches to one band number only)

3G, slightly more complicated (eg: band 1 is 2100mhz, band 4 AWS is 1700/2100mhz)... people interchangably say 2100mhz = band 1, but it could cause confusion for band 4, especially for non-technical people

anyways, OP should really look for a different phone

Thanks for all the info. It looks like I'm not going to buy this phone. I found another one
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2
I went to the Fido dealer and asked if this phone will work and the guy said it might and it might not. He will need to insert SIM card to see if it works. This smartphone has SIM Card: Dual SIM, Dual stand by, Dual Micro. So it means it uses two sim cards? Can u explain. Will this phone work with Fido? Here are the specs
XIAOMI RedMi Note 2 (Advanced Edition) Android 5.0 4G Phablet with 5.5 inch FHD Screen MTK Helio X10 64bit 2.2GHz Octa Core 2GB RAM 32GB ROM 5MP + 13MP Cameras

this means it can connect to two different networks(using two different sims) at the same time

there are different standards for dual sim- this says dual standby.... there is dual active, and dual passive
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_SIM#Passive

that phone is strangely missing 850mhz 2G GSM... most phones now support quad band 2G (which is basically 100% worldwide support)

it works fully on 3G

and LTE 1/3/7/38/39/40/41

so basically, it's better than the previous phone (more 3G support), but you lose some 2G support, and no additional LTE support. not a good buy

again, as other people say, a lot of these chinese phones DO NOT SUPPORT canadian networks... stop looking at chinese phones and look at something else

the guy said it might and it might not. He will need to insert SIM card to see if it works
rubbish... don't ask that guy

the network in the store might be using band 7 LTE + 1900mhz 2G, and phone will work there

and then you get home, where the network doesn't have band 7 LTe or 1900mhz 2G, and you have zero signal/coverage
