I'm confused as to how to answer this short response topic, which asks to describe how I could bring a broad perspective into an engineering classroom (with factors such as multicultural awareness, accomplishments, hardships, etc). To me, I think this question is too general, and so I don't really have a sense of what this topic is asking for. After talking to a friend of mine, he thought the answer was to talk about the various things I've seen in a superficial level, which in my mind is listing out things. If someone could reword this topic, or give examples of what they'd consider a good response to bringing a broad perspective, that'd be great...

Thanks. :cookie:

Maybe, I don't know, talk about how different cultures engineered things over recorded history?

At its heart, engineering is about solving problems through the design of processes and systems. The domain of problems that engineers address is implicitly limited by the socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds of its instructors and practitioners. The question is asking how can you broaden this domain through your own experiences and background.
What do you see as an engineering problem and why? Give general and specific answers--what do you consider engineering? What experiences in your life have contributed to that perspective?
