Need help with a rebooting problem

I built a K6-2 450 system for my sister for college. Lately, it has been having problems where it will reboot spontaneously.

Windows 2000
k6-2 chip
soyo mobo
Antec 250W PS and case
SB AWE 64 sound card
128 MB generic ram (nec chips)
Graphics Blaster 4 MB video
standard 32x cdrom/floppy
10 GB IBM HDD (less than 4 months old)
generic PS/2 keyboard
MS Optical mouse (currently plugged into PS/2 port, forgot why I did it that way 😕 )

Originally this machine would not boot up, that is when I replaced the case/PS. I went ahead and replaced the monitor too at that time because she was using an older VGA only Gateway. It has been running fine since the last round of upgrades.

My first inclination is to think mobo, I bought it used off of the forums, and it could have been the original culprit. Other than that, I suppose I could try a different stick of RAM.

Suggestions?

Spontaneous reboots......I think of 2 things......Overheating or
something isn't right on the MB. Check the heatsink fan. Check
that the MB isn't touching something it's not supposed to. Then
check all the MB connections, including disconnecting the PS wires
to the MB and reconnecting them......

I have had same problem, 2 things that I knew would cause this type of problem in W2K were either as stated in prior post Over heating
or what was causing my problem is had a bad stick of mem replaced stick and problem was resolved.

Thanks for the replies. I was away for the weekend. The culprit was high density RAM my idiot BIL decided to install without my permission. Seems like a case lock and bios password are in order :|
