Need help with a pair of Canopus Pure 3D II Voodoo 2's

Hey guys, I have a pair of these and am trying to figure out how in the world to hook them up. I have the SLI cable for them but not any others. Each card has composite and S-video out, regular 15pin VGA out and a proprietary connector labeled VGA In. Can anyone help me out? TIA 🙂

for the voodoo2 sli you needed a vga cord to connect them to the 2d card in the back as well as a SLI cable to connect them internally

install cards in pci slots adjacent to the 2d card
attach SLI cable to twin voodoo2s
attach vga cable to the voodoo next to the 2d card and run the other end to the vga out of the 2d card, this is a male to female vga cable, i think
connect monitor to voodoo2 adjacent to 2d card

Yeah, I remember that I think, but that is what the problem is. These cards don't have the TWO 15 pin VGA outs like the Diamond Voodoo 2 or 3DFX's version. It only has one female VGA out. That is what I can't figure out. I have the internal SLI cable but I need the external one but can't seem to find what I need or where to get one. 🙁 I will post pictures of the cards this evening. 🙂

does it look like this? that is definatly not a reference voodoo2. does the thing have onboard 2d?

Yep, that is it. I have a pair of them, I snagged out of FS/FT for $10. 🙂 To answer your second question, I don't know, have not hooked one up yet to see. 🙁

I just talked to the guy who sold them to me and he said that they do not do 2D. However, I think I have it figured out. I believe I need a male to male VGA cable to get them working properly. However, I am still a little unclear on the hookup.


Schadenfroh, let me see if I got this right. When I get the VGA cable I hook one end to the second voodoo and the other end to the 2d card. Then connect the monitor cable to the other voodoo right below (second in line) that? Please LMK and thanks a ton for your help so far. 🙂

Thanks M4H! 😀 That is exactly what I need and was thinking in the first place. 😉 Got any idea where I can pick one of these cables up? I checked on Ebay and found nothing. 🙁
