y=-5/4x
Might want to do your own HW, as if you didn't know this I doubt you'd pass the test. I'm a stout opponent of homework grading or grades based on homework completion, but knowing the material is key.
put it in slope-intercept form to find slope. m is the slope
y=mx+b
to find x intercept, put it in standard form.
Ax+Bx=C.
However, C is 0, so I put it in slope-intercept.
y=-4/3x.
Y-int is 0, slope is 4/3. If either intercept is 0, the other must also be 0.
For convenience, if C is 0, you can assume the point passes through origin (0,0). Just wanted to illustrate this point.
Parallel lines have the same slope.
Thus, all the equation needs is a slope, in SI form, since it passes through origin. Would be y=-5/4x
