I recently got a new motherboard (nforce2) and it was the built in sound so I don't need my old SoundBlasterPCI128. But I do need the game port on it. Is there a way to enable just that port? I don't want extra CPU usage for the whole sound card, or conflicts with the nforce audio (which is much much better than the SB)

What brand is the new MB? As Shagga said, it should have it's owne gameport controller. The gameport controller on my Epox Nforce2 board is located near the last PCI slot and requires a riser and a free slot to work (ie, there is no gameport up at the top of the MB near the PS2/USB ports.

Its a MSI NForce2 Delta-L. The only bracket it came with was a LED status display and a Rear USB port.

I don't recognise that model. Can you be more specific? or is that specific enough. Sorry not an NForce2 wizard. :)

[edit]

Looking at MSI's Website it would appear having read through the spec quickly that you need to purchase the controller card seperately. ASUS have started doing this aswell as my brother found out recently.
