Need help with a Jaws trivia question.

In the original JAWS, what type of fish does Brody shoot at, thinking it is the shark? Salmon, Trout, Marlin, Blue Fish?

marlin i beleive. been awhile sence i read teh book. but i beleive it was a marlin or a dolphin. something of that sort

That's one of my favorite movies but I'm having a hard time remembering that part of the movie. I read the book when I was a kid but remember not much of that.

I agree...either marlin or bluefish...but marlin is bigger and has that fin.

It wasn't a Marlin, I just guessed that and it was wrong.. (They don't tell you the correct answer).. I'm guessing Bluefish then.

It was a school of bluefish. He wasn't shooting at a fin, just a shadow in the water. After he was done an onlooker exclaimed, "Bluefish! It's just a school of bluefish."

And, it wasn't just "a fish", it was a school of fish, bluefish to be exact.

(actually, in the movie, he was really shooting blanks in the general direction of a piece of cardboard or something being dragged in the water)
