I am trying to help a friend replace this drive: HITACHI Travelstar 5K100 HTS541060G9AT00 (13G1583) 60GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" ATA-6 Notebook Hard Drive
Wondering if I can replace it with this model; HITACHI Travelstar 5K320 0A56415 250GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive

Its for a HP/Compaq nc4200 Model HSTNN-C02C

He would definately like a larger capacity drive, at 100 Gigs. If anyone has any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thanks!!

No .. It seems your computer uses an ATA / IDE interface ... the new drive you linked to is a SATA interface. You need an IDE drive like this one:

And also a program like Norton Ghost or Acronis Tru Image to clone the old drive to the new .. You would also need a USB to IDE external adapter to use when running the clone or an external drive enclosure. Unless you want to just reinstall everything fresh.
