Hey all, I need some help. I am looking for a very smooth mouse pad, that is huge, and i mean huge!!!!. I am looking a pad that's like at least 18" X 18" in size... I use it while gaming, but mostly i need one that big for flying a helicopter in Battlefield Vietnam. I currently use my plain old desk's surface but it's starting to show signs of wear... Before it gets any worse, i wanna get a giant mouse pad..... Can anyone help.... And no, i do not want to switch to a joystick to fly the helicopters.... Thx all...

Why would you need a big pad anyway. If your mouse is not sensitive enough then buy a gaming mouse from Razor or Logitech. Those mouse can give you accurate movement over a small area. Also the game setting should allow you to change sensitivity. Though if your mouse does not have a high enough resolution you might feel inaccurate.

I have a Logitech MX500, and in game my mouse sensitivity is at full, it's that to get a beast of an Mi8 to fly like a huey or a cobra u need to roll it hard and quick.... and there is no way to improve that.... maybe i'll look for a way to increase teh sensitivity beyond the capability of the game... like in some game config file... But still i could use a mouse pad...

Meanwhile, the Logitech® MX?518 Gaming-Grade? Optical Mouse might pose a good solution since you can change the sensitivity of the mouse in-game with click of a button on the mouse. When you hop off the vehicle you can set the mouse back to normal sensitivity with a button. It's sensitivity settings can be configured for any games as a profile via the mouse driver. If you are a hardcore gamer then spending 40 bucks for it might pose a solution. Since the optical mousepads are also in that price range.

Actually, another suggestion if you are good with an Xacto knife. Check out a local dive-shop if you have one in the area or boating store. Look for the material they make dive suits out of. That's what I did, I traced and cut out a template then purchase a square yard, it was cheap... maybe $10. It's the same exact material they use on mouse pads. I then cut out an overly large pad that I love.
