Need help with a "Finding Forrester" quote

There was a great quote of Sean Connery's "book", which was recited by Jamal when they were standing in Yankee Stadium, which went something along the lines of, the future cannot handle the steady of the unrest of the present. I know I'm butchering it COMPLETELY, but it was SOMETHING like that. Anyone have an exact quote?

I knew when I saw three replies in the thread that I was already too late to post that little gem.

Incidentally when that movie was being pimped on TV 24/7 (back in what, 2000? 2001?) I used to proclaim vocally how f'ing stupid Sean Connery sounds saying that line. Unfortunately it just egged on my friends and it became a popular thing for them to say around me, much to my chagrin.
