Got a killer idea for a case mod, but need some help... can anybody who knows alot about electronics please PM me? I know, I know... I hate threads that ask you to PM somebody, but I don't really want to go into on here, because I don't wanna give it away. Please help if you've got a sec. Thanks in advance! :)

lol well, hell.... what I needed to know was how hard would it be to wire some analog gauges to; temp sensors, voltage, etc.etc. Specifically aircraft gauges. Any ideas?

lol dammit... I was afraid of that... j/k :D

The idea I've got is to use an alluminum case and set it up with an aircraft "theme". I've got a set of four toggle switch flip covers, a few aircraft gauges, and quite a few aircraft style decals, (i.e. the yellow "rescue" arrow, as well as several misc. body decals like you'd see on an F16 or something.) I thought the gauges would look sweet if there was a way I could wire them to display temps, voltages, etc, since I don't want them to be merely cosmetic. Dunno, any ideas would be appreciated. :)

You won't have any trouble with the voltmeter(s), but for temp guages, you will need to make sure your temp probes are caliberated to your guages. Also make sure the voltages are compatible (24v guages on a 12v system probably won't work properly, it at all--6v guages will probably fry). Voltage adapters should be redily available from auto/marine part stores, as for temp probes, you're just going to have to hope that they work out. Maybe if need be, a guage shop can caliberate or swap out the guts of the gauge to something that will work. Good luck.

RagMan, that's pretty sweet, but no, not really what I had in mind. (See above post)
