ok i just got this car and it has auto seatbelts and they dont work🙁 anyone had this problem or know of a toyota forum i could go to???? tia

neither work? did you try checking to see if there is a fuse for them? Go down to an auto parts store and check out some of repair manuals (chiltons, etc etc)

Actually, you might be able to manually crank them back (instructions in the owner's manual) and use them manually, although that sucks as an end solution. Check all your fuses, of course. My last suggestion, if you don't feel like pulling it all apart, is to take it to a mechanic.

First, I am very sorry for you. Motorised seat belts are the single most annoying "safety" feature ever invented, IMO. That said, the Cressida was a nice car, and it should be good to you. I agree with Garfang, there should be an option to crank them back manually, after that check all the fuses and replace anything that is blown. If that still doesn't work, I'd take it to a mechanic.

call up a dealer.. see if they'll replace it for you for free.. from what i've heard, seatbelts are warrantied for life because of safety reasons, and they know auto belts aren't safe at all anyway.. so go try and call.. wouldn't hurt.. they might just laugh in your face though.. so sorry if they do..but that's just what i heard.

<< thanks for the replies yes there is no fuse for them and i dont have a manual for it🙁 >>

d33pt is correct, take it to a dealer.
