Ok keep in mind this is a budget buy and I have right at $300 MAX. And my monitor just blew out lol. Old 19inch CRT. So here we go:

Should I get:

The 2005fpw referb
for $270 to my door
-----or-----
AMSUNG 205BW Black 20" 6ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 700:1 0.285mm Pixel Pitch
for $290 to my door!??!

The stats heavily lean towards the 205BW but I've personally seen the 2005fpw and its awesome. I used to work at dell and always wanted on. The ultrabrite's were pimp. But i'm assuming all monitors are "ultrabrite" quality these days.

I personally love my BenQ FP202W Black 20.1" LCD.

8ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 600:1 0.258mm Pixel Pitch

I bought mine at newegg for under $300 shipped. Link is here

You would say the SCEPTRE over the SAMSUNG or just giving another option? The Sceptre is 8ms as opposed to the sung's 6ms... I see the contrast ratio is 800:1 which I would prefer but I want the least amount of blur as possible.

It's widescreen heaven if you ignore the gamma problems, DVI problems, and scaling issues, then yea....I'd say it's widescreen heaven.

BTW, I have a VX2025wm and have yet to have any of those issues. The only one I think everyone gets is the gamma being too high, but you can just turn it down in the Nvidia/ATI CP. And up the digital Vibrance every so slightly if not at all.

The BEST 20.1in is the NEC. But thats $600.
The Best cheap(er) 20.1 is probably the Dell 2007. I'd still recommend the Viewsonic though (even with the problems).

Also, make sure to read the sticky.
