need help with 600 series hp printer

The model is 610cl. A friend mom gave it to me for free because it just stopped working. By stopped working, I mean plug it in and nothing happens. No power no nothing. It was manufactured 9/2000 and came with her hp system. Can anyone give me any ideas on what to check or what might be wrong? Thanks

Check Ink... they may even be jammed up...

Does it have an adapter that plugs into the wall? If so check the output with a multimeter.
If it has a regular plug then it most likely has an internal transformer and you would need to take it apart and check the output there.
