I play wow in window mode with full screen checked. This is so I can easily alt tab (really just drag mouse to the right) to interact with the web browser on the second monitor.
I have been using direct x 9 wow all this time because using direct x 11 causes issues. The issues is that most websites (pretty much any that has video or flash) causes the GPU to spike at 100% usage and the frame rate in wow to plummet to terrible choppiness.
With these newer 12 series drivers now I can no longer use direct x 9 in wow without having artifacts or other video anomalies.
So here is the issue:
Direct x 9 now has artifacts, but the web browser does not interfere with the game frame rate
Direct x 11 gets rid of the artifacts, but I can't really use the second monitor much
Is anyone else having these issues with wow and an AMD card and if so what have you done?
I think as a last resort I could try and find older drivers, but the ideal solution would be to find a way to make DX 11 work with the second monitor web browser not screwing up the game.
Thanks for any help you can give.
The CPU is an i5 750 with base clock set to 3.2 GHZ and turbo sill enabled. (up to 3.8 on single threaded workload)
