Just bought 32inch 120hz tv.
I have 4850 gigabyte 1gig version with latest ccc.
When i plug in to my tv using hdmi, It works for only few min then screen goes blank and my monitor goes blank too so i have to reboot the computer.
my monitor is 1920x1080. My tv accepts 1920x1080 using hdmi.

So I tried with VGA cable.
this tv only allows me to output only 1440x900(dont know why)
so i tried that and made my monitor same resolution. But it does same thing like above.
It works for few min then both screen goes dead.

I'm using 9.8 ccc with duplicate option in ccc.

I hooked up my 6831fx using hdmi and it works perfectly.
Its really pissing me off how ati sux at making driver(my ccc crashes so have to reboot every time).
I have crossfire mobo so really dont want to change to nvidia.

I've got a 46" 120hz tv that displays Win7 for me through a 4850 512 card without issue.

So can you give more information about your complete setup? Are you certain the TV can accept PC-HDMI input? I have another TV that won't accept PC input via HDMI, but will take it through VGA at the lower res, like you described.

Just to jump back in, the 120Hz won't matter for PC signal. That'll be 60Hz. The TV can compute the extra frames, but it won't affect the signal coming from the video card.
