Stuck on a pretty craptastic 27'' 1080p aoc 2ms tn, not a fan of the lag i feel with my 40'' Samsung 4k so after a year of not having a 144hz panel its about time to look at options i think. I don't remember what panel i had but it was a used Asus 24'' i scored for dirt cheap locally. Yup i did regret selling it later for what i paid actually when i went back to 60hz so now looking for a proper replacement so to speak. Much has changed since that Asus i am sure as it was a few years old even a year ago?
Big issue is sticking perhaps closer to a $200 or lower tag. I guess its certainly possible but there is so many options. Also since this is most likely my first potential freesync purchase, can someone please explain how it works? I think g sync for me isn't a option as it works best with a locked 144 fps rate? Handful of games barely register that frame rate but everything i play at 1080p certainly usually runs over 60 on my 1080ti.
I heard the best experience for smoothness even on a Nvidia card is freesync? Just not to sure what sort of experience to expect or even what panel to pick? Thanks for any input anyone can toss my way.
