Hey,
Well at the moment i own a Ge force 4 MX, and i know its a shitty card, but hey i didn't have any choices, but forget all that, i wish to purchase a new and better video card, the ones i have in mind are:
1) NV35 - Ge force FX 5900 ultra... or
2) ATI's - Radeon 9600 pro......

Which one do you guys think i should buy.........

Thank you......

Wow, there is a very large price difference between a 5900 Ultra and a 9600 Pro. If you are prepared to spend all that much on a 5900U, what's keeping you from considering any of the Radeon 9700/9800 pros or non-pros?

I have heard the 9500pro and regular 9700 may be better values and perform better that the 9600pro.

The GF4 MX really isnt that bad of a card. Not the best for new games, but I haven't heard of a lot of problems or complaints with it.

If you can d ish out the case of the Geforce FX 5900 Ultra, by all means do it. It performs very well under all tests including Doom 3.

if I had the cash 5900ultra, a good alternative might be the latest revision of the 5600 ultra which is what Im waiting for. Ive read nothign but good things about the 5600u and it shouold be reasonably priced

Personally i have nothin against Ge force MX, its just that it doesn't support vertex processing, and i just bought a game (Blood Rayne) which requires Vertex processing, thus i shall buy a FX 5900 U..... Thank you all for your opinions.....
take care...
