I have and old Notebook. Brand is NOTEBOOK COMPUTER

Can i use a type 2 pcmcia card in this .

its a P2 200 and i have used other pcmcia card with itbut i dont know if they are type 1 or 2

what is the difference.

i need a pcmcia usb card to put in this unit.

The PCMCIA Specifications define three physical sizes of cards: Type I, Type II, and Type III. All three types use the same 68 pin edge connector for attachment to the computer, and differ only in thickness. The thickness for Type I, Type II, and Type III are 3.3, 5.0, 10.5 millimeters respectively."

It's probably a Type 2 unit. Type 1 pcmcia's are from very very old notebooks, like 386 era. Even most 486 systems will have type II.
