the only other one i see that is also half profile is radeon 7500 and geforce 440. so this 9200 is the fastest?
thanks.
this is what i got from another forum, but i would like anandtechers to confirm the info...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) ATI Radeon 9200SE 128mb (DVI)
2) ATI Radeon 7500 64mb (4x agp) (DDR)
3) GeForce4 MX440 64mb (8x agp)
Each has its plus and minuses :
1) is a low grade version of the 9200. Only has a 64 bit memory
architecture while 2) and 3) have a 128 bit memory architecture. This
means 2) and 3) should be faster at updating the screen. However if
tend to open many windows open at one time, then that 128mb on 1)
comes in handy. 2) and 3) are 64mb.
Basically 1) may be ok for people who open up lot of windows but don't
plan to play very many 3d Games (its considered by gamers to be a slow
version of an already slow 9200 card). The DVI version of 1) however
has one advantage that 2) and 3) don't have - it can connect to both a
CRT monitor and a DVI monitor. This is good if you plan to upgrade
your monitor later on. It is also 8x agp however I doubt it offers
much advantage over 4x agp since the card is slow to begin with.
