Need help w/ win9X connecting to an NT 4.0 RAS workstation...

I'm trying to get some remote access working here at work. I've got an NT 4.0 machine running RAS. I've given the particular users RAS privledges that I want.

Workgroup on the RAS workstation is RMG. Computer name is "backup". IP address is 192.168.0.182.
No domain. Modem is setup on COM1. Protocol is TCP/IP. I have the RAS server assign IP's to the hosts. Pool is 192.168.0.200 - 192.168.0.220

Win9X machines have dun setup and can connect to the RAS server. They can log in correctly and the DUN connection icon shows up in the taskbar.

Win9X machines have client for MS networks and TCP/IP installed. Workgroups are set to RMG. LMHosts and hosts files have lines "192.168.0.182 backup" added to them.

My problem is that can't "do" anything once I connect. What do I have to do in order to use my network resources? I want to be able to access a shared drive on the RAS box, as well as a couple other shared drives on the network.

Help.

thanks 🙂
