Need help w/ USB 56k Modem

I have a fairly new (within a year old) external Zoom 56k V.90 USB modem. I am able to connect to the internet fine but I cannot get my "connected at" speed any higher than 26,400. I have all the settings for the modem speed maxed out at 115,200, I have both sliders in the "port settings" maxed out, under the "advanced connection settings" I have checked "error control", "compress data" and "use flow control" and "hardware" checked. I have tried every modem connection speed up program out there, like Mini Speed, Modem Booster, MTU Speed, etc.. and nothing seems to make this thing any faster. When I do a bandwidth speed test online, I can't even get a rating faster than a 28.8 modem should go!

Does anyone have any ideas, extra settings I can enter, registry entries to alter, ANYTHING PLEASE!

Thanks in advance.

in extra settings put this

%C0

thats a capital C and a zero

now it dont work on all modems so you will get modem not responding if it wont work
