Need Help/W Problem- installing P3 1ghz CPU

I have A - OCTEK motherboard with a Intel celleron 433mhz CPU + 256mb Ram & Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440. I have a P3 1ghz Cpu from an other PC which i want to put in it. But when i put it in, and turn it on. It just does a long beeps , from the PC Speaker & nothing comes up on the monitor. But the CPU works in the other PC & it is compatible with the MB.

If anyone knows what this problem might be please Help.
 
are you using the latest bios for your board?
sounds like a m/board cpu incompatibility as that p3 uses a much lower Vcore than that celeron which the m/board may be unable to provide!

 
No it is using the default bios from when i bought it brand new from Ebay a week ago. So can that maybe fix the problem if i upgrade the bios ?
