need help w/ mozilla thunderbird

Where do you set up the smtp server for mail accounts? When I try to send mail it attempts to login to it w/ the pop settings.

here's another. how do i change the order the email accounts appear in on my sidebar?
also, does each account have to have it's own trash bin? or can you empty them all at once?

I'm not sure that you can. You can have any single account always appear at the top by making it the default, but that's about it (AFAIK).
