I'm almost positive she means physically they don't feel good. Grados are known for this.

I replaced the pads on my Alessandro MS-1's with these pads after cutting a dime sized hole in the center under parts the replacement pads for the HD414 or HD414classic part number 019545. Cheap and non-destructive.
