Hi folks!

We're getting some new Avid editing stations at work, and these things are dual Xeon 1.7 machines. My question is how do I set up the lan install so it can use both procs? Is it possible? This was the software Shuxclams' helped me out with a while back. Setidriver is great, but the user has to be logged on for the software to kick in...I'd like it on all the time. ;)

Hopefully this will give some good WUs. :) I know we can do this! :D

The last version of the Flexinstaller (0.9b?) would install across the LAN and install as many instances of the client as it could find of CPU's. The key to that is you will HAVE TO BE LOGGED IN TO THE NETWORK WITH ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS. As for the old LANInstall that I did it would only support a single instance installed over the network. I have considered revisiting that script to add multi-CPU over LAN support but I havent had the time.

SHUX - How about an uninstall option? It would be great to have the ability to remotely uninstall the service. To me that's the only thing missing to get me using the FlexInstaller. Right now I do manual installs sitting in front of the client. It's a simple process to install and uninstall but I have to be on the client to do it. Having the same options remotely would be awesome!

Why not just use a SETI Driver service install? I believe IsOs made one...if you need me to find the link for you I can do that tomorrow.

That might be useful (especially if the install leaves no icons in the system tray)....
