Need Help w/ Epson 1650 Photo Scanner

This thing is driving me nuts. One of the features of this scanner is a "Scan to E-mail" function. However, it keeps telling me I do not have a MAPI compliant e-mail program. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Outlook Express 6 is MAPI compliant. I can manually point it to Outlook Express (msimg.exe), but that only opens Outlook Express, it does not scan the image directly to an attachment to an e-mail message. Any thoughts?

I just got home from Fry's' with the Epson 1650 Scanner ......... only to find out it's not the 1650 Photo Scanner ..... !!!

Sorry rpr, .... I know this doesn't help you with your problem, but I just have to tell someone how dumb I am ........ !!!
I'll return it tomorrow, but I don't think they even have the Photo model 1650....... ?

Do what I did...have Staples price match Buy.com or Costco.com, and then use a $30 off $150 coupon from Staples. Final price ~$150 for the 1650 Photo.
