I managed to get my Asus A7v133 up and running w/ win98se....Installed via 1-4 drivers , got ATA100 running.
When I wanted to install my printer and zip drive the system froze when booting up win98 at the splash screen. I was able to get into safe mode..I reformanted and reinstalled windows
know I am running udma66 but didnt reinstall the via 4-1 driver....What should I do at this point? Is there a later via 1-4 driver available? I have a 300w ps, cpu is cool ( tested it today to check if it was dead or had a problem from a prev user.)Duron 700 with 128 meg of ram. Video is installed as well as direct x 7.0a..I would like to use ATA100, can I do it without the 1-4 via drivers? Or are the VIA drivers a must? PS I also plan on adding win2000 for a dual boot later on...
