It seems as though my mobo has died. I powered it up and I didn't hear any beeps and nothing on my monitor. The fan on my northbridge seems to have died also...(could this be the reason?)

Here's my setup:

A7V133 with 1005 bios
1.4 TBird (not overclocked) with SK6 and Delta 6800RPM fan
2x128 MB Mushkin REV2 Cas 2
Visiontek GeForce 3 Ti200
18GB SCSI WD
40GB Maxtor 7200RPM
8x20 SCSI Plextor CDR
6x SCSI Pioneer
Soundblaster Live!

Running Windows XP Professional

IS MY MOBO DEAD? :(

do a PSU swap.. if the NB fan or no fans are spinning.. might be the PSU can't put out load at all.. if that happened to me i'd swap the power supply first probably.

Yeah...I did try swapping the PSU...but to no avail. I previously had a A1 400watt AMD Approved PSU in it then swapped it out with a 300 watt Antec and I also pulled out all my cards and drives besides my graphics and one hard drive. I don't know what else besides except considering my mobo dead and having to get a new one. :(

I hope your mobo is ok....

I would think that if the north bridge overheated, then the may cause a failure of the mobo.

If it's dead, then get a new DDR mobo! :D

Try booting it without a PSU, RAM, or any cards hooked up. Just the ATX powerswitch, ATX power line, and make sure it's grounded. I had to help my friend through this EXACT problem too. Turns out when he booted without anything in it, it began to beep, so I knew it wasn't dead. BTW, this happened after a BIOS flash and a bad reboot.

Good luck!

Could be a dead CPU - have you tried it on another board?
I had this happen once on a P166 just as you described and it turned out to be the CPU.
