Question Need Help Upgrading Video Card

Hi there, Im not very tech savvy and cant really understand the comparisons Im making from my current card to potential cards.

I have an Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 currently and am looking to upgrade to something capable of playing newish games such as Dragon Age Inquisition and Nier Automata. I cant think of any games I play that put lots of stress on my pc so Im not really sure what other games to list as a reference point, actually I tried playing Hellblade and it was slow and glitchy to the point of unplayability.

Also, Im a little broke so price range is up to $200 lol.

Please help, and thank you!

What are your computer specs, and what power supply do you have? (Brand/model/wattage/age - you'll probably have to take the side of your case off and actually look at the label, or at an invoice, as HW identifier tools like "Speccy", can't identify PSUs.)

In that price range, I would recommend an RX 580 8GB (comes with free games, but possibly not for much longer), or a GTX 1060 6GB if you can find one for $200. (There was one on shellshocker, either today or a few days ago.)

But if you have any CPU older than Haswell, or less than an overclocked Sandy or Ivy 4-core, it's probably not worth it, consider a whole new PC if it's older or lesser.

The pc I need to upgrade is put away right now. I'll edit this post tomorrow with what specs I can find for you. Thank you so much so far!!
