Need help unscrewing a nut bolt

I was trying to unscrew this nut bolt that helps keep the front bumper on and it the top of the nut bolt decided to break and leave the screw stuck in the hole. So I figured I can try to drill a needle in there and try to drill it out but no luck. Any suggestions and what I can buy to help me get it out? Need help quick!

A nut bolt? lol

Yes, try drilling a needle into the screw hole where the nut bolt is.

oh man..

I think what you're looking for is an easy out. You drill a hole in the center of the stuck screw, and then drill the easy out (it's a reverse threaded bit) into the hole.

PS They sell them at any auto parts store. Pep boys has them for sure. So does ace hardware, home depot.

Are you sure the bolt doesn't have left-hand threads? Perhaps you thought you were loosening when you were actually tightening?

You can buy extractor bits for this purpose. They're basically a reverse drill bit that digs into the broken bolt but this assumes that the bolt is not completely stuck. You might need to use a blowtorch to heat the surrounding metal or use some penetrating oil.

oh man, if this was the nutbolt that hold the bumper on, then you are fvcked!

No wait, go to your local ace hardware ('cause Ace is the place), and ask them for a can of nutbolt out.

Stop calling it nutbolt! It's just BOLT!

Maybe if you weren't trying to get it out with your foothand, you wouldn't be having problems.

😛

Drill the broken threads out and then retap them.

I had to do this twice on my old Jeep. Note: breaking bolts off in the block sucks.
