Need help unlocking? or setting up an old TV

Hi!

I was given 2 old TV's. Panasonic, 19" and whenever I press any of the front buttons, the main menu comes up, but I cannot choose any options.

All buttons do the same, volume, channel, video, and menu. Not even the remote control works.

Both TV's do the same thing. Could it be that they are just locked? Like the TV's they use @ doctor's offices, so that people don't go changing the channels?

Hold the action key and the channel up key on the face of the tv down simutaniously for a few seconds. Hope that helps.

found this on some random forum. Does it work?

Press the Volume Up button on the [TV], then, while it's pressed, hit the button marked "-/--" on the [Remote Control] to release it from hotel mode.

I tried the first method and it didn't work.

The Remote Control doesn't work so I cannot try the second one.

If i hold the Power button + any other button @ the same time, the TV does a "self test" but not a reset function..

Up again!
