need help, trying to oc xp 1600.

I'm trying to oc a xp1600 agoia. got me a gigabyte ga-7vrxp that was doa. I was going to get another kt333 board when kt400 boards became widely available for about the same price. now with nforce2 out in the market, i really don't know which chipset to get. I know of the performance difference between them but is it really significant enough to justify spending more money on kt400 board or nforce2 board? I'm just using it to oc the xp1600. I usually upgrade my mb once a year anyway and i don't have a video card, and not planning on upgrading mine (ti4200 64mb) to take advantage of AGP 8x.
what sould i get?
