need help! trying to do a complete WinME reinstall from toshiba CD!

Hey! first post!

I'm trying to to do a complete WinME reinstalation on a Toshiba Satellite 2800 notebook from the Toshiba CDs and a "homemade" system disc.

let's say that so far I cant.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

homemade meaning copied from another one or homemade meaning you just thru a bunch of stuff on a cd? what exactly is the problem?

homemade system disc meaning just a system formatted floppy.

and the exact problem is the system wont come back after installing the TV-out driver from the toshiba CD (original oem CDs that came with the laptop). rescue discs wont do squat and the only shadow of a windows ME CD are those two Toshiba disc "W.ME" written on 'em

so you cant reinstall the system with the recovery disks that came with it? id contact the manufacture and have them send you new recovery disks..
