need help troubleshooting long distance

my boss is in chicago and cant get his notebook hooked up to the wireless network, even though others can with no problem

i had them check network connections and there is a Wirless connection icon, but it says not found.

He isnt even positive he has a card, but i assume he does because he has wireless connection setup

any suggestions, im not an IT guy, but am the only person in the office today (thats what happens when your boss is 1000 miles away)

Are you using WEP ? Have you turned off the becon signal ? What router do you have ? What card do you have ?
