need help to restore hard

I stopped during formating of my hard drive
it was even partitioned
does any one know how to restore at least save some of the files

Only way I know is with Norton "Ghost" There are other ways though I just dont know them.

What are you trying to restore? Files from an old windows partition? or Linux?

And furthermore why were you formatting your computer if you hadn't backed up all your important files?
