Hi to Everyone,

I am trying to build a computer for my son.

I have chosen motherboard “Asus M4A785TD-M EVO” and CPU “AMD Phenom II X2 550 AM3 Dual-Core” (based on good reviews and decent price). The problem is that “Memory Support List” for that board on Asus WEB site is extremely outdated and I have a problem in picking the right RAM. I plan to buy 4GB (two sticks 2GB each) running at 1333 (I am not going to play with BIOS over-clocking features too much, I am not really good at it). I would like to buy a RAM that works “right from the box” (at 1333 as dual channel without too much BIOS tweaking). I found one that looks like what I need, but I am not sure that it is compatible with motherboard and CPU I have chosen. It is G.SKILL Ripjaws F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM (http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820231275). Its specifications look matching the motherboard and it has good reviews; however I am not sure it will work with motherboard and CPU I have chosen. So, will it work? If not, can you, please, suggest others?

Thank you

*kjm thanks a lot,

I will buy the one you’ve mentioned.

Couple of other questions picture of this mobo shows 4 memory slots: two light-blue and two dark-brown. Is it true that in order to exploit dual channel mode I must plug these two (10666CL7D-4GBRH) memory sticks into light-blue slots?

I am building this computer for my 11 years old son. Although he is not a “gamer”, however if he wants I would like him to be able a play (with decent quality) most modern games hungry for powerful video boards and CPUs. Will these CPU, motherboard plus Sapphire Radeon HD 5750 video board sufficient for this?

Thank you
