Need Help to find Desktop Configuration including Motherboard

I need Desktop below $300 USD .

Recently I bought laptop which is great Intel Duo Core 2 T7200 and 256 MB Video card and etc..

But now I am locking Desktop which alway like to use at home . My previous one from Dell dimension motherboard was not working when I called Dell support I said I am out of warranty and they want to chage me $175.00 for Pentium 1.8 . So I decided to pursue for new Desktop with in $300 so that I can use old desktop hraddrive also.

Please help me to to sugesst how to get it.

Fry's has the e6300 with ecs via board for $169 (ends today). Fry's also has an am2 3200 with ecs board for $90. It requires ddr2 memory, but may also come with onboard video. Other than Fry's, I would go with am2, a single stick of ddr2 667, and a board with onboard video to start. It won't fit in a Dell case, so I would go with the free ultra blue case and 500w power supply from Fry's.com ($87 shipped minus $80 rebate), if they're still available. For example, the am2 3800 is $99.00, a gigabyte GA-M51GM-s2G is $87 shipped, and a stick of ddr2 667 Patriot signature series 512 meg with run you about $57 shipped. Total without case would run about $243 (newegg.com).
