I've got a Mazda3 s 5sp with 16" wheels and my front tires are ready to be replaced. I know to put the new tires on the rear, but what are other 3 owners putting on their cars that may perform a bit better than stock and still not break the bank? I do a good mix of suburban and highway driving.

my 3 uses 17 inch wheel (expensive:( ). I got Dunlop SP sport signatures. They are pretty good. Much better than the Eagle RSA tires.

GO to tire rack and see what tires get good review. I see that Michelin Palto whatever it is called gets really good reviews, but they cost the most. That's why I did not get those. I have also had good luck with Khumo tires. I used them on my ALtima. They were good, but road noise got really harsh after about 15K miles on them.

You do have Eagle RSA tires, right? You could ride on your rims and get better performance than those tires;)

Go to TireRack and search for tires based on your car. Their user reviews can be very helpful.

how often did you rotate your tires? are your fronts that much more worn than your rears?

2nd the tirerack recommendation. sort by reviews for your car.
