Need help. The Epson R800 not getting detected on Windows XP Home Edition

Well the topic states the above. I've tried different cables, restarting, different USB ports, also i've tried unplugging but it just won't get detected by XP Home.
THe rig is a :
Asus P4C-800 DELUXE
2GB DDR PC400 Ram
GEFORCE FX 5900 256MB ULTRA
P4 3.2GHZ

Don't know why it won't pick up , any suggestions?
Bios settings or something?

 
Have you followed Epson's directions carefully.
Shut off pc
connect USB cable
Turn on printer
Install print cartridge
Load paper
Turn on pc
Load software and detect printer
Print test page
