Hey everyone.
I just received my Refurbished Klipsch Promedia 4.1's. I have them setup and started off playing some hip hop music. They sound OK but Im not really that impressed. Im not an audio head but I do have a decent system in my car. I am coming from Altec Lansing ada 885 from dell. Now the bass sounds fine on these speakers but when I crank it up 80% main volume and turn down the sub Im getting very staticy midrange bass. I read around that these puppies can be played almost all the way up.
I have no put on Saving Private ryan and it sounds great but again at a very high volume I get the static (as if there blown but not as nearly as bad). Ive switched speakers around on the left channel to pinpoint if it is just the speaker but none of them seem to handle 80+% volume.
Anyone have a good Torture Test I can put these babies through. I only have a 90day warranty and want to make sure these things are 100% before that time ends.
Thanks guys.
Any advice would be great.
