I just built an T-bird system using a K7T turbo. The system was working fine. I installed Win98se no problems. I reformated the C drive only. Left for about an hour, Now it won't post/boot. All 4 led's are red, the manual points to a bad processor. I removed the processor and made sure if was set well. This is the second time, NOTHING.. ? I have a good heatsink and fan that keep the heat to around 37-42C when it was working. Any suggestions?

Got to help us out...we need clues....
Exactly what happens after you push the big red button.
Any beeps?
Power supply goes ok ???...
normal/strange sounds ???
anything on screen ???

Hit Reset or turn off/on, no funny beeps. The CDROM looks like it tries to spin up but the hardrive light never comes on. Power supply comes on, at least the fax is spinning up. I have a green power light, nothing on the screen. No POST no boot.

Jaybert,
No over clocking yet. Just trying to get everything set up and function for a few days first.

Try clearing the CMOS. Could be the BIOS got confused. Also try re-seating any RAM and/or the video card. Something could have worked loose.

I tried that and replaced my memory with working memory. Nothing.. Reset the agp card. I'm thinking its between two things the motherboard or the processor. The MSI k7t turbo manual says that the processor is not installed or not working.

test another cpu in your board, and your cpu in another board, that'll help you figure out whats wrong. remove everything but a good stick of ram, and the video card, see if that works. do you have a 300 watt power supply?
