How can I hookup a set of Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers to a ECS K7S5A motherboard? The speakers have three inputs, left, right, sub. and then they are split to the individual channels. I know this motherboard doesn't support 5.1 but I just want sound out of all speakers. If I go to a different motherboard that does support 5.1 they still only show the same inputs on the motherboard. What gives? I got a nice deal on these speakers ($30) and want to use them. I haven't built my system yet but have most parts on order except the motherboard.
Here's my list:
Antec Case
XP2100+
512mb DDR
DVD+RW
DVD-ROM
WD 100GB 8mb HD
Floppy
GeForce4Ti4200
Trendware V.92 Modem
Was going to use K7S5A (but will consider others)
Any suggestions on a motherboard so I can use these speakers? Can I use them with the K7S5A? Adapters? Should I use a dedicated sound card? Sound isn't a highest priority but I'm building a pretty nice system and want good balance of price/quality.
Thanks in advance,
Phil
