I have a spare sunon fan and need to find some ways of placing it to blow on my card so i can get that extra 10 mhz mem that locks randomly. Any suggestions on how to hold it and where it should be placed. I have a gf3 in a atx mobo in a atx case.

A blowhole in the side panel of your case is the best, but not easiest solution.

Take a spare PCI slot blank- from a slot you filled with a card- and bend it 90 degrees. Mount your fan on that (you have to drill 2 holes in it to mount the fan). It lowered my temps by 2-3C (system and CPU). My GTS will OC to 225/400 now. I'll take some pics if you want. It is similiar to the card cooler but less expensive as long as you are slightly creative.

Go to this site and skip to the page that's titled The BIG Fan. There's a pic of the fan that JustStarting described as well as detailed instructions on how to build it. You don't necessarily need to do any drilling, but it would be nice.

Hey, nice idea! I'm going to build one of those card-coolers from a pci-slot cover and a spare 90mm fan I've got lying around, I could of course use one of my Papst 80mm 46cfm fans, but I doubt it would give any increased performance.

I just made one with two slot-brackets and a spare 90mm fan. Works perfectly, allowed me to get at least 10 more mhz out of GF3 Ti200, up on 240/530 now.
Didn't test it further as I noticed that I had unseated one of my ram modules because it only said 512mb ram, put it back in so I had 1024 again and now I can't even oc my gfx-card to 230 core anymore  I'm going to try and find a solution to this problem, as I both want 1Gb ram AND a much oc'ed graphics card, if you have any ideas please post 'em.
