Need help stabilizing my X2 4800+ rig

HELP HELP HELP!

Ok, I just installed my X2 4800+ and I am using the 510-3 Bios and I the only changes I made in the bios were the Mem SPD 200 X 12 and the HTT = 5x. I thought I could run 2.5-3-3-6 mem timings safely.

However, after the first boot into windows it asked me to restart and now when it restarts it goes to windows loading screen but then resets itself? I think this has something to do with the bios? I might need to try a different version..

One thing I noticed is that the first time I turned on the PC the bios detected 1 CPU, 2 Physical and after that first boot up that notice never came up which told me maybe the bios went to a backup or something because I never say that message ever again?

Bottom line, I need a stable bios for my rig which is listed in my sig.
 
I replied in the other thread, but I just wanted to tell you that the 510-3 BIOS is very stable for X2s.

Here is the latest version of it.

Load your defaults and try your tweaks again one-by-one.
 
I loaded the optimized defaults and it fixed it. Yes it is very stable. Unfortunately, I lost all my optimized memory settings, and I need a new base to start off. Also, the vcore is at 1.27v is that normal?
 
That VCore is normal.

Here is a good guide for optimized TCCD memory settings. If you're looking to overclock or keep it at stock speeds, lower the CPU multiplier and crank up your FSB to increase your memory bandwidth. Might as well make good use of your memory, which is some of the best on the market.

Use the BIOS built-in Memtest to test Kakaroto's DDR600 settings; also note that he has some tweaks to increase stability if you're getting errors (one for example, is to set the DQS Skew to "decrease" and the DQS value to "128"...but there are others).

If his DDR600 settings don't work, try his DDR620 settings at the same FSB...my TCCD memory would not run DDR600 at 1:1 at 2.5-3-3-6, but it ran it fine at 2.5-4-4-8.
