I recently bought an SMC7004AWBR Wireless Broadband Router. While I'm waiting for the Verizon guys to connect my DSL, I wanted to test it with dial-up connection. But unfortunately couldn't make it work
If anybody succeded to use this (or its non-wireless brother) with dial-up connection, their help will be appreciated...
I have two PCs connected to the router: one desktop connected with cable and one laptop with Aironet PC4800 wireless PC card. I setup the system w/o any trouble, so that each PC can see each other and the router. I connected my SupraExpress 56 External modem to the COM port of the router, set the WAN type as dial-up, entered username/password for my dial-up account and tried to connect. I hear my modem dial and the handshaking sounds, but then dial-up fails
I tried over an over again but no success
I'm sure that my username/pasword settings are correct. I can connect with the same settings with my modem connected to my PC, but cannot connect with the router...
Any ideas? Suggestions?
