Need help sleeping....

So my insomnia has gotten fairly bad as of late... Last night i slept all of 3 hours, even after taking 6mb of melatonin to try and get myself to fall asleep. As noted, my problem is getting to sleep, not staying asleep. My thoughts just seem to not end, its hard for me to settle down and just relax enough to fall asleep.

Any ideas?
 
Read something boring like sixone mentioned or excercise until you tire yourself out. Go lighter on your diet and drink some milk before going to bed.
 
Psh. Take a 10mg Flexiril tab (supposed to be a muscle relaxant but doesn't do a damn thing) and wash it down with ONE beer.

Guaranteed you are OUT within 60 minutes.

For SLEEP purposes, I've found this is 100% more efficient than 1/2 a bottle of Bourbon and a pizza.
 
I used to have trouble sleeping in college but now I don't. It ended up being that caffeine from sodas I would drink. Caffeine doesn't make me hyper, but it will make it so I can't fall asleep. So now I try not to drink caffeine after 9pm, unless it's with some jack or captain.
