Ok, I want to tinker around w/ VPN's. I know how to setup the win98 clients, but I'm a little foggy on how to do it server side.

I'm pretty sure that I have to add the point to point tunneling protocol correct? Is there anything after that that I need to do? Do I add users just like I normally would under user administration? Or, does adding the PTPT Protocol open up another barrage of options?

Thanks in advance.

do you have firewall ?? anyway...

goto network neighborhood and add RAS if it's not already there, there is a updated ras from ms's site.

goto protocol add, pptp protocol and then add how many connection you wanted.

afterward, configure at user manager on how many user you want to have access... its almost like that since i'm not sitting in front of my vpn server.

I've got a freesco box operating as a firewall. According to all documentations that I've read on freesco, it is already setup to use a VPN.

RAS is already installed. So it looks like all I need to do is install the P to P tunneling protocol correct?

Thanks!

Yes, you'll need to open gre protocol which is protocol 17 (don't remember) and the tcp port 1723 (dont remember offhand). I'll look it up and be back in a sec.
