So, I just got a new Samsung Fastinate and I'm attempting (feebly) to set it up to check my primary email account.
The email is through a university but runs on Gmail software. The "Android" IT guy at the school is off today (boo) and the other guy isn't quite sure what's happening.
Pardon my noobiness but I know almost nothing about email settings, POPs, IMAPs, etc, so suffer through the improper techno grammar if you can.
I tried setting it up as a POP account which he said I couldn't do (although he didn't explain why not very well), he said I needed to set it up to read as an IMAP account.
I went to my email account settings and enabled IMAP. On my phone I started setting up a new account manually. Username and password, check. He sent me the settings to enter (I think he got that data from this UT Martin website...I don't have a UT Martin account though, dunno if that matters) and it gives me an incorrect credentials (Username/Password) error.
Any ideas? Is that enough info to get an idea of what issue I'm running into?
